The Western Trip
In Spring of 2008 immediately after turning in final grades I headed out west. After meeting friends in Las Vegas for a few days I then headed into Death Valley and from there across the Mohave to Joshua Tree NP. From Joshua Tree across Arizona to the Painted Desert and then into New Mexico and Chaco Canyon. A great Western Trip! All images taken with a Canon 40D

Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill
On a trip to the East Coast in December of 2004 I stopped near Lexington, Kentucky to visit the exquisite Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. I was fortunate that the two December days were extremely clear and crisp. This was truly a memorable experience from the architecture to the overnight stay at the "Trustee's" Inn. These images were taken with a Minolta Dimage 7.

This trip coincided with Holy Week which made for some terrific photo ops. These images were taken with a Minolta Dimage 7

Scanned Slides from Asian Travels
The Asia collection comprises photographs from as far back as 1970 when I was, among other hats, a photographer for an Engineer Battalion. The photographs span twenty five years and five countries and were taken almost exclusively on High Speed Ektachrome slide film.

Scanned Slides from Various Travels
A selection of older images from travels. All were originally shot on slide film. In the last few years I have gone through old carousels selecting what I felt were the most compelling images. They were then scanned at high resolution and added to my digital photo archive.

Black and White Vietnam
When I returned from Vietnam in 1971 I discovered that one piece of my hold baggage had not made it back to the states. In that baggage was a negative file book with over 1000 black and white negative images. When I left Vietnam I had in my posssesion only 25 or 30 B & W prints. At some point these too turned up missing. Only recently were they found in an attic in Heidelberg, Germany.

20 Days in Indochine
My return to Vietnam, including Cambodia and another visit to Thailand. It is difficult to describe the "high" I achieved from this trip. The people of this region are so gracious, friendly and hospitable - the culture so diverse. I hope my images are able to do it a little justice.
